Privacy Policy — UTM Builder by bimalrp.com
Last updated:
UTM Builder by bimalrp.com (“the extension”) is a browser extension that helps users build UTM-tagged campaign URLs. This policy explains exactly what data the extension does and does not handle.
What the extension does not do
- It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
- It makes no network requests of any kind. The extension functions entirely offline.
- It includes no analytics, tracking, or telemetry.
- It does not access your browsing history, page content, or any other tab’s data.
- It does not require you to sign in or create an account.
What the extension stores
The extension saves your last-used Base URL and Campaign Source locally on your own device, using Chrome’s built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local). This is done purely for convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter the same values on repeat use.
What’s stored: the Base URL field, the selected Campaign Source preset, and — only if you chose “Other” — the custom source text.
What’s not stored: the generated tagged URL, the medium, campaign name, term, or content.
This locally stored data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is never transmitted to bimalrp.com, to me, or to any third party
- Is never synced across devices or Chrome profiles (
chrome.storage.syncis deliberately not used) - Is stored unencrypted in your Chrome profile, like other browser data — if you paste a URL containing a private token, that URL stays on this machine until you overwrite it
- Can be cleared at any time by replacing the Base URL with a different one, or by uninstalling the extension (uninstalling deletes all of its stored data)
Permissions
The extension requests only the “storage” permission, used solely for the purpose described above. It does not request access to your browsing activity, other websites, or any other browser data.
Changes to this policy
If this extension’s functionality changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy will be updated and the update will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above, in line with Chrome Web Store’s requirement to proactively disclose changes in data practices.
